Review Policy/New Guidlines

Preferred genres to review:

Fantasy/high fantasy
Horror
YA Contemporary

Genres I do not review:

Erotica
Non-fiction – I will make an exception if the book really appeals to me.

Adult fiction*

 

All my reviews include a synopsis from either Goodreads or the back of the book (this is clearly stated in the review), what I thought of the book, what I enjoyed. It’s my policy to not write negative reviews, I don’t like doing it. If I don’t enjoy a book I will either temporarily set it aside and give it another go, or contact the person who sent it and let them know. My reviews will be as spoiler-free as possible. I will include the books publication date and who it is published by. Finally, I will give the book a star rating. All my reviews will be posted on this blog, Occasionally I will also post them on Goodreads and other platforms, such as Amazon, Waterstones and Readers First too.

* There are some authors/books that are marketed for adults but have a strong appeal with the YA community, these I am happy to accept for review.

☆☆☆ – Liked it
☆☆ – Didn’t really enjoy it
☆ – Didn’t like it

New influencer guidelines:

New influencer guidelines state I must be completely transparent about anything promotional and any form of payment, monetary or free product for review and promotional purpose. I will always clearly state when a book has been sent to me for free and who sent it, if you would like to know who I work with a list can be found below (this is subject to change).
