Favourite Books of 2021

Happy Friday, Book Dragons!

Last month was so busy I never got round to putting together my list of favourite 2021 reads. Last year wasn’t my best reading year so I haven’t done my usual ‘top ten’ post, instead opting for my six favourite books.

Happy reading!

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas:

This should come as no surprise with Sarah J. Maas being a favourite author. I’d been waiting for Nesta’s story for years and I wasn’t disappointed! Silver

Flames is so much more than the “Fae Porn” its been labeled as. Yeah, it’s full of smut but there’s also so much more to it. I didn’t leave my room until I had finished it.

Show Us Who You Are by Elle McNicoll: (Gifted)

This is by far one of my favourite books of the year, give me all the own voices autistic rep! Elle’s books are phenomenal and should be read by everyone!

Monstrous Design by Kat Dunn: (Gifted)

Monstrous Design was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. I love how the story progresses, the character development and change in setting. I tore through this one and can’t wait to read the next one!

Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender: (Gifted)

Felix is by far one my favourite favourites of the year, ordering a copy before I had even finished reading. I cannot recommend it enough, this is one everyone should read. Its phenomenal!

Fireborn by Aisling Fowler: (Gifted)

I adored Fireborn! From the first page I was glued to the pages, its full of adventure, danger and characters that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

The Wanderer by Josie Williams: (Gifted)

Just thinking about this makes me cry. It is incredible! I laughed, I cried, I carried it around with me everywhere. This is one that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

  1. Last year sucked for everyone. I am glad you are taking another chance with these amazing books this year. I am trying to do the same with blogging, hope it sticks. All the best!
