Hi!!
I haven’t done a wrap-up in awhile, I thought it was about time I fixed that. During September I managed to read five books, not bad for someone just getting out of a slump. I really enjoyed most of them, too!
Happy reading!
What I’ve read:

Shooting Martha by David Thewlis:
I loved Shooting Martha! It’s one of my favourite books I’ve read this year. Brilliantly written, dark and unsettling, definitely recommend!
My rating: ★★★★★
Trigger warnings:
- Suicide
- Child death/murder

The Wild Before by Piers Torday: (Gifted)
I loved this one from start to finish, it’s a prequel to The Last Wild trilogy, which I’ll definitely be reading asap!
My rating: ★★★★★

The Haunting of Lindy Pennyworth by S.M. Pope: (Gifted)
As soon as I read the blurb I was sent by Publicity, I was sold! It was everything I was hoping this year’s spooky season would bring. My full review will go up publication week.
My rating: ★★★★★
Trigger Warnings:
- Death
- Trichotillomania
- Mental Health

You’re So Dead by Ash Parsons: (Gifted)
This one had so muc.f. potential, it was a miss for me though. I thought it was obvious who the killer was, so obvious I thought I had to be wrong. I was right from the start, one of the deaths were a bit ridiculous, too.
My rating: ★★
Trigger Warnings:
- Death
- Murder
- Implied animal murder

Eve of Man by Giovanna & Tom Fletcher:
I loved this one, I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. The cliffhanger! I had to run to my piles of books to find the second one, I’m enjoying The Eve Illusion so far!
My rating: ★★★★★
Trigger Warnings:
- Violence
- A character is referred to as ‘Fatty’ twice
