Blogmas, General bookish fun

Blogmas Day 6: 2020 Highlights

Happy Sunday, Book Dragons!

It feels a little weird thinking back on highlights with everything going on right now. There might not be many, I’m grateful for every one though.

Hope you enjoy!

An Evening with Christopher Eccleston:

I’m so glad I got to meet one of my favourite Doctors and listen to him talk about his book and career. It was a privilege to be there. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve met and was the highlights of my year. I definitely recommend giving I Love the Bones of You a read.

Scholastic Showcase:

This was my third time attending the Scholastic Showcase and its always a yearly highlight. I love hanging out with bookish people, hearing about all the awesome books coming and listening to authors talk about their books.

HQ Blogger Showcase:

I love going to HQ’s events, so many excellent books were showcased. I also got to hang out with Kelly, which was a lovely surprise!

The view from the building is incredible, too!

Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas:

Sarah J Maas never disappoints, and a new book is always a highlight. I adored House of Earth and Blood, it’s definitely one of my favourite books of the year!

Grief Angels by David Owen: (gifted)

Anyone who knows me will know much much I love David Owens books, so of course Grief Angels is one of my highlights.

I cannot recommend this book enough, seriously, you need to read it!

All three of Simon James Green’s books: (gifted)

Publishing three books this year was much needed. I love everything about them, if there was ever a time for Simon’s humour, it was this year.

Look at her! Jazzy is always a highlight and brings me so much joy, so I’m including her, because why not?

What are your 2020 highlights?
