it’s been awhile since I’ve been properly active in the blogging community. Lockdown hasn’t been kind to many of us, and it’s definitely been a huge struggle for me. I’ve decided it’s about time I came back properly, starting with Blogmas. I thought today I’d share part two of my promised lockdown book haul (if you missed part one you can find it here) – I then decided to combine it to include other books I have bought or been gifted since as so much time has passed.
I had no chill when I opened bookmail and found this inside. I adored the first book, Happy Girl Lucky and jumped at the chance to join the bookstagram tour for it. Hive thanks to Harper Collins for gifting me a review copy.
year. A copy was gifted by Bloomsbury and Tandem Collective as part of the readathon.
Anyone who knows me will know just how much I adore The Inheritance Cycle, I definitely screamed a little when I opened it! I I’m so ridiculously excited to get stuck in.
Poisoned by Jennifer Donnelly: (gifted)
Jennifer Donnelly is back with another retelling. Poisoned will be my first Snow White retelling and I cannot wait to start reading it, I’m a sucker for retellings. Stepsister was one of my favourite 2019 reads, definitely give it a read!
This one sounds incredible, I couldn’t turn down the offer to read and review it. I’m hoping to get to this one soon. Thank you Gollancz for gifting me a review copy!
Bram Stoker’s Dracula is one of my favourite books, so when I spotted this sitting on a shelf I couldn’t leave without it. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it, I’m looking forward to giving it a try anyway.
I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC by the publisher back in Feb and adored it, so I had to grab a finished copy when it came out. Aaaaaannd, yellow sprayed edges! Anyone who knows me will know how much I love sprayed edges. Harrow Lake is the perfect Halloween read!
I couldn’t contain my excitement when I managed to snap up a signed copy of this! I’m looking forward to reading it asap, sadly I had a reading slump not long after getting this so haven’t managed to read it yet. I’ve heard mixed things about it, I have a good feeling about it though.
I read and loved this back when it was first published but never got round to buying a copy. I decided it was about time I rectified this and treat myself to a copy. I can’t wait to lose myself in this again before rewatching the Netflix series.
I can’t resist a pretty, shiny book and The Court of Miracles ticks all these boxes. The hidden cover under the dustjacket is gorgeous, too! I’m getting Les Mis retelling vibes from it, though I’m not 100% sure if it is. This will be going near the top of my TBR!
Look at that cover! Magnus and Alex are my favourite characters from The Mortal Instruments so I had to pick up a copy of the next installment of The Eldest Curses and find out what happens next!
A new Tom Fletcher book? Don’t mind if I do! I have so much love for Tom’s and Shane’s books and I know The Danger Gang will not disappoint.
A new Kiran Millwood Hargrave book is always a treat so you can bet I popped into Waterstones when I went to Sainsbury’s. I know Birds & Bone is going to be amazing, I’m looking forward to snuggling up with a blanket to read it.
I can’t get over how beautiful the Waterstones exclusive edition is. This edition as a snazzy black cover and an additional sixteen pages of Rovina Cai’s incredible artwork.
How beautiful is the Waterstones exclusive edition?? This one has been following me around on Twitter and Instagram, as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I had to read it and immediately pre ordered a copy.
