Monthly Wrap-Up: April

How are we all? It’s been awhile, I decided to take a much needed break from blogging. I’m back and ready to shout about all the books again! I hope everyone is safe and well. My April wrap-up is a little late, but better late than never, eh? I managed to read seven books this month, I think my reading slump is definitely coming to an end. Let’s get cracking on what I read during April.

Happy reading!

The Love Hypothesis by Laura Steven: This was such a fun read, I won’t go into much detail here as my full review will go up sometime in May.  ★★★.5

Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas: I think we all knew I was going to adore and throw all the stars at this one. My full review will be going up asap! ★★★★★

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant by Darren Shan (audiobook): Why did no one make me read this series sooner?! I can not get enough of them, I’m a little gutted my library only had the first two audiobooks. I can’t wait to finish the rest of the series.

My rating: ★★★★★

The Girl of Ink and Stars by Kiran Millwood Hargrave (audiobook and reread): I just really, really love this book. It’s a firm favourite and one my comfort reads I keep returning to.

My rating: ★★★★★

The Places I’ve Cried in Public by Holly Bourne: I buddy read this with Lauren and loved every page page. It’s such an incredible and eye opening book.

My rating: ★★★★★

Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis: I loved this one. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting, I think it definitely worked. You can find a link to my review in the blog tour section.

My rating: ★★★★.5

Scythe by Neal Shusterman (audiobook & reread): I adore this book so much, I reread this to refresh my memory before diving into Thunderhead.

My rating: ★★★★★

Quote of the Month:

“That’s the point of it, Bryce. Of life. To live, to love, knowing that it might all vanish tomorrow. It makes everything that much more precious.” – Sarah J. Maas, Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood

  1. I’m going to be adding my April wrap up soon so I totally agree better late than never! This year is both going by so quickly yet so slow at the same time.
