Monthly Wrap-Up: October Highlights

Happy November, Book Dragons!

October was really quiet for me, though it was just what I needed. I took some time away from reading and blogging to watch some of my favourite shows, found some new ones too, definitely recommend The Feed on Virgin!

Happy reading!

Events:

IMG_1p5pzm.jpgFantasy YA Panel:

I went along to the Fantasy YA Panel with Brigid Kemmerer, Frances Hardinge, Samantha Shannon and Yaba Badoe. This was one of my favourite events I’ve been to, the talk was fascinating and was the first event with Brigid and Frances I’ve been to. After the talking part of the evening we had the chance to chat, get books signed and have photos taken.

IMG_-6718hc.jpgAn evening with Stephen Chbosky:

I can’t tell you how excited I was when this was announced and immediately booked a ticket! The event was chaired by Anna James, they talked about Perks of Being A Wallflower, Imaginary Friend and the movies he’s worked on. After the talk we had the opportunity to get books signed and have photos taken. Stephen Chbosky is one of the nicest people I’ve met, and is so generous with his time. If you ever get the chance to go to one of his events, I definitely recommend going!
