Wrap-up: July highlights

It’s been a quiet month for events and reading, I’ve spent most of July either in a reading slump or stressing about YALC so this is going to be shorter than normal. I do have some awesome news though, this can be found later in the post.

IMG_20190801_103708_593.jpgYA Fiction Meet ‘N’ Greet:

I went along to Forbidden Planet’s pre YALC event, this was the second one I had been to. This year Mary Watson, Eion Colfer, Dhonielle Clayton, John Tarrow, Kristen Ciccarelli, Kristina Perez and Sharon Dogar came along to sign books. I took a couple along to get signed and picked up a copy of Artemis Fowl, I’ve never read these books, I know! I’m shocked too.

This year’s was hosted at YALC on the Friday, I went along with my sister to support all the amazing bloggers and blogger friends. I was shortlisted in the Best Established category and won! I was shortlisted alongside some incredible bloggers who all deserved to win. I honestly can’t believe it, thank you so much to everyone who nominated and then voted for me. It means the world to me!

I attended YALC again this year, It was my third year going. I’m not going to say much here as I’ll be writing some blog posts with more detail about it soon, keep an eye out for them!

What I’ve been reading:

Contender: The Chosen by Taran Matharu – currently reading
