YALC: Book Recommendations Part One

Hello!

It’s that time of year again, I honestly don’t know where it’s going. I’m a little late getting this up, better late than never though, right? I thought I would put together a little YALC recommendation post, part two will follow asap. I hope you find something awesome to read!

IMG_20190110_154517_050.jpgAll The Lonely People by David Owen:

I can’t tell you how much I love this book. I highly recommend all of David’s books, especially this one. I’ve already read it twice, it’s that good! I don’t want to give anything away, you can read my review of you click on the title.

IMG_20190127_161446_537.jpgThe Twisted Tree by Rachel Burge:

This book was one of my favourite books I read last year. Set in Norway, The Twisted Tree is a ghost story with norse mythology woven in. I loved every page and can’t recommend it enough. I might even pull it out again myself.

IMG_20190412_230127_309.jpgFierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard:

This one should come as no surprise, I adore all of Sara’s books! Fierce Fragile Hearts is the sequel to Beautiful Broken Things and it is everything you could possibly want and so much more! Read them all, you won’t regret it!

IMG_20190531_175421_964.jpgAlex in Wonderland by Simon James Green:

Brilliantly hilarious and witty, Alex in Wonderland will have you in stitches! Set in a seaside town, protagonist Alex is awkward, nerdy and hilarious. This one is perfect for those looking for contemporary with added humour and LGBTQ+ rep. I can’t recommend it enough!

IMG_20180815_123646_867.jpgReview: The Island by M.A. Bennett:

I loved this one! Protagonist, Link, along with a group of classmates become stranded on a desert island after a plane crash. Link takes charge to keep everyone alive, though it’s not long before island life brings out the worst in them. I highly recommend reading it, S.T.A.G.S. too!

Are you going to YALC this year? Do you have any recommendations I should add to my TBR? Let me know in the comments!
