Where is the year going?! This month has been pretty quiet on the event front, though it’s left me with more time to read some amazing books that I’ll be raving about asap! Here’s some of my highlights from the past month, I hope you enjoy!
I went along to the second CHCCYA Fest and had so much fun! It’s a day full of books, authors and fun. There’s also signings, a quiz and treasure hunt. You can find my full event write-up here. I can’t recommend this event enough, perfect for those who struggle with big events like YALC!
MCM Blogger Brunch:
I was invited to one of the coolest blogger events ever, held at MCM Comic Con! There were goody bags full of books and swag, a bunch of incredible Tor and Quirk authors, including Susan Dennard and Ashley Poston. We had the chance to sit down, eat pastries and chat with authors and other bloggers. After the event we had the chance to explore the con floor and have fun! My full event write-up will be up soon.
Derek Landy signing:
I went along to Derek Landy’s signing in the London Forbidden Planet store. I’ve never been able to go to previous tours as I’ve always had tickets for other author events, as soon as I saw it on his Twitter I knew I had to go! He’s so lovely and takes the time to talk to everyone, take photos and signed four of my books. On our way out we were given little goody bags with pin badges, rubber wristband and a bookmark in. I had so much fun, hopefully I make it to his talk and signing at YALC in July.
