The Fandom Rising: Fictional Worlds I Want to Visit

IMG_20180130_161707_027Hello!

With the publication of The Fandom Rising, sequel to the brilliant The Fandom I thought I’d put together a little fun post. A lot of you are probably familiar with the concept by now, a group of teens go to Comic Con where they’re swept into the world of their favourite book, The Gallows Dance. You can find my review here. Getting back to the post, I thought it would be fun to think about which fictional worlds I’d like to hang out in and, *gasp* Hogwarts isn’t on the list. I know, I know! Once you’re over the shock, read on to find out which ones did make the list.

Prythian should come as no surprise. Despite the many dangers lurking, there’s still so much beauty I’d love to hang out in Prythian and visit different courts. nd let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to hang out with Lucien, Rhysand and his Inner Circle? I actually think I might want this than my Hogwarts letter.

I don’t know about you, I would love to end up in Caraval. There’s something magical about the place, despite never really knowing what’s going on, the deception and spending the whole time looking for your sister. I’d love to go and experience it for myself.

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien:

Yes, I really do want to visit Middle Earth. Who wouldn’t want to hang out in Rivendell with Elves and the Shire with Hobbits? There’s so much beauty, I can avoid the rest, right? I’ve wanted this since I was eleven.

IMG_20180613_003357_478.jpgThe Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson:

I want to meet dinosaurs for real, I know the rest isn’t exactly a great place to dwell but Dinosaurs! I also think it would be great to hang out with Storm and Lincoln. I’m probably not selling you on this, Piloria is beautiful though! Can someone make this happen?!

It was so hard to narrow it down to a few, there are so many I’d love to hang out in. Which fictional worlds would you choose? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Always Ketterdam… and I’ve found lately that I’m liking worlds inspired by ancient Rome.. I never knew that lol.
