Hello!
I have another event write-up for you all today! This one isn’t for a YA title so I hope you don’t mind, I’m dying to read this book and wanted to share it with you all. A review will follow once I’ve read it.
Happy reading!
I went along the Bonnier Zaffre blogger event for The Beekeeper of Aleppo, held at the Bonnier office. I arrived a little early and was sent straight up. Bloggers were greeted with copies of the book and a table of food, they know how to spoil us! We had the chance to get some food, chat and mingle before the main portion of the event started. I was really nervous as I didn’t know anyone there, I left a little early when no one wanted to talk to me. I still had fun though and stepping out of my comfort zone was a big achievement.
We then sat down to listen to Christy talk to her editor about the book, the inspiration behind it and her time volunteering in Athens. I could have listened to Christy talk about it for hours. If I wasn’t already sold on the book, I definitely would have been afterwards. After the talk, we had the chance to chat to Christy and get our books signed. I can’t wait to start reading the book, keep an eye out for my review!
I had a wonderful time, thank you Christy and everyone at Bonnier for a brilliant event and providing a free review copy of the book!
