I know this has taken a while to post, and posts won’t go up as often for some time due to personal reasons. I’m the meantime, here’s my January wrap-up. I hope you enjoy reading it and bear with me during this quiet period.
The Twisted Tree launch:
I was invited to the launch for the brilliant The Twisted Tree by Rachel Burge, hosted in Waterstones in Trafalgar Square. I had a wonderful time catching up with bookish people and celebrating the publication of such a brilliant book, you can read my review here, if you fancy reading it.
Friends and Fiends in Waterstones Piccadilly:
When this was announced I knew I had to go! This was my first Waterstones event of the year, and what a way to kick start the year. David Owen (All The Lonely People), Sara Bernard (Fierce Fragile Hearts) and Non Pratt (Giant Days) were in conversation with Grace Latter. They talked friends, online culture, cats and bourbons. It’s by far one of my favourite events I’ve been to.
Stripes Equali-Tea blogger event:
I was invited my second Stripes blogger event, hosted at The Apple Tree, with Alex Bell, Gabriel Dylan, Kay Staples, Cynthia So and Karen Lawler. I had so much fun and got to catch up with so many awesome bookish people. My full write-up will go up soon.
What I’ve Read:
Dry by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman
Hotel Flamingo by Alex Milway
One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus
Grace Mercy by Robin LaFevers
The Familiars by Stacey Halls
In Fallen Woods by R.N. Merle – I’ve started this and really enjoying it! I’m very into witches at the moment and love Darkling!
How was your January? What did you read? Let me know in the comments!
