Synopsis from Goodreads:
You trust her.
That picture you just posted on Instagram? I’ve seen it.
The location you tagged? I’ve been there.
You haven’t been careful enough, have you?
Because I know all about you.
But when I meet you, I won’t tell you that.
I’ll pretend. Just like you do.
You’ll like me though. You’ll trust me enough to let me into your life.
And then I’ll destroy it.
Taylor is new to the area having recently moved from America with her husband for a fresh start. Struggling to adjust and unable to work with the baby on the way, she joins walking and book groups to make friends. This is where she meets Anna, Simon, Sarah and Caroline, and where things get messy and complicated. I won’t give anymore plot away.
This one is probably the best and worst book to give a blogger, it had me hooked from the start! I was still awake gone 3AM Christmas Eve finishing it, I couldn’t stop. It makes you question every like on Instagram, every person around you, even the ones you think you know. You’re lulled into a false sense of security before being thrown into sinister chapters from an unknown perspective that have you looking over your shoulders convinced you’re being watched. I’m not lying when I say my tablet and phone were hidden away in my bag before going to sleep in case I was being watched (you’ll see why if you read it). I spent the whole book terrified, suspicious of everyone and thing. It’s definitely makes you think about what you put online, and who will see it. I Know You is a gripping and thought provoking read from start to finish, with many twists you won’t see coming, I can’t recommend it enough, even if you’re not hugely into crime. It’s a brilliant read that really makes you think about what and how much you put online. I didn’t post on Instagram for almost a week.
