How many books do you usually read at once?

This depends on my mood. Sometimes I just have one book on the go, if I don’t know what I want to read I can have up to five books on the go at the same time. Also, if I’m reading a book with sprayed edges I’ll start a new one to read in the bath.

Do you ever switch bookmarks while you’re partway through a book?

Only if I get one that matches the book I’m reading, otherwise I stick with the same one.

Where do you keep the book(s) you’re currently reading?

They live on my bedside table, though that’s generally been taken over by books now.

What time of day so you spend the most time reading?

Afternoon and when I’m in bed, I’m a bit of a night owl.

How long do you typically read in one sitting?

Again, this depends on the book. If I’m enjoying it I’ll sit and read for hours, if I want to make it last longer I’ll only read a chapter or two.

Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?

Always off, I don’t like scuffed or ripped jackets so I always take them off.

what position do you usually use to read?

I tend to move around a lot without noticing so I don’t think I can answer this one properly, though I start off by sitting in bed.

Do you take the book you are currently reading everywhere you go?

Yes, I never go anywhere without my book. Even if I know I won’t get the chance to read it, I still bring it with me.

How often do you update your Goodreads progress on the book you’re currently reading?

I used to update it every time I put it down, now not so much. Someone would always spoil it for me intentionally, so I now make sure I’m further ahead than what’s on GR.
