Today I have a little Q&A post to share, thank you to everyone who sent in questions for me. Sorry it’s taken so long to get this up, I hope you enjoy it.
1. What made you start book blogging?
Initially, my sole reason was to spread the bookish love. I read a lot, though I never really talked about them, or even raced about those special ones I adore and excessively reread. I also hoped it would be a good way to make some awesome bookish friends.
2. How old were you when you first started reading and what was your favourite book as a child?
I was 11 when I started reading properly for pleasure, my sister gave me a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to read and I was hooked. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has always been my favourite book and one I regularly read.
3. Who are your inspirations in life?
This is a hard one. I’m going to say J.K. Rowling, we all know her story so I don’t need to tell it here. She showed it doesn’t matter what background your from, you can do what you love and succeed.
4. Apart from reading what is your biggest passion?
Music, I love music almost as much as I love books. And my dogs, they definitely count, right? Because I love them to bits.
5. Favourite book of 2018 so far?
This is such a tough one. I can’t decide between To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo, Only Love Can Break Your Heart by Katie Webber and last but not least, the brilliant Show Stealer by Hayley Barker. I know this is four, I can’t choose just one though. I love them all so much, I’ve linked to my reviews incase you want to check them out. I can’t recommend them enough!
6. Least favourite book of 2017 and why?
Plastic Wings. Overall I enjoyed it and it had the potential to be great, it just felt disjointed at times and the time jump between paragraphs was offputting. I don’t really like talking about books I didn’t like, I’m always worried I’ll upset the author.
7. Favourite food?
The answer is always Pizza. Seriously, I will never get bored of it. And peanut butter Kit Kats.
8. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A Dragon. Just swap the gold for books and I’m halfway there.
9. Where is your favourite place to read?
Definitely bed, there’s nothing better than snuggling up with our puppy and a good book. I also read to her which she loves. She’s the best reading buddy ever, I love her so much!
I hope you enjoyed my brief Q&A, I’m planning on doing another in the future so if you have any questions drop me an email or DM on twitter.
This is such a great post Nicola! Was lovely to find a little more about you. I’ve actually not read ANY of your top reads of 2017 yet. Something to rectify eh? 😉

Great post, Nicola. I have also adored Mel Salisbury and Katie Webber’s books so far this year. I’m yet to read Show Stopper or Show Stealer but I do own the first one and I’ve heard brilliant things!
