As part of the blog tour to celebrate the publication of M.A. Bennett’s The Island, which is out today, we were asked what our desert island disc would be. This is a common theme throughout the book, with multiple references to the popular radio show, and got me thinking about what mine would be. When this dropped into my inbox for the blog tour I already had some answers ready.
My first thought was Paramore’s Now, this took me by surprise as until recently I disliked this song. I still don’t know why it sprung to mind but I’m going with it.
Reading The Island got me thinking, what if you didn’t survive the crash and wasn’t aware that you were, in fact, dead?
And this one made me think of Link, also, any excuse to mention My Chemical Romance and I’ll take it.

I don’t know what I would choose for my desert island disc. Maybe Levitate by Imagine Dragons. It always makes me really happy when I listen to it and I think that would be important in that situation LOL!

i love all the songs youve selected but honestly id end up picking a disc made up entirely of my favourite the front bottom songs as im always listening to them on repreat and i dont care
