Event: The Secret Garden launch

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the stunning illustrated edition of The Secret Garden, designed by the talented MinaLima graphic designers and published by Harper Design. I had so much fun at The Little Mermaid launch back in March, I knew this wasn’t one to be missed. The launch was hosted at the MinaLima store on Greek Street and was upstairs in the new gallery dedicated to the illustrated classics. I arrived with the lovely Ana a little early and looked around the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts galleries before going in, the whole place is gorgeous and I’m already planning my next visit to the shop asap.

When we arrived there was prosecco with rose petals floating on top, which was really cool. The gallery is absolutely stunning, all of the decorations were made by then and the love and detail that went into them is incredible. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in London. It’s small but you get swept away by the magic and could easily spend hours there taking in all the tiny details.

Mina and Lima did a speech before we were all given goody bags with a copy of the book, postcard set and prints of all five illustrated editions. We then had the chance to have photos and get our books signed by Miraphora and Eduardo, who are so nice and friendly.

I had an awesome evening. Thank you Harper360 and  MinaLima for inviting me to such a brilliant launch. I can’t wait to read it.

  1. Oooh I loved The Secret Garden as a kid! These editions look cool although I don’t think they’re as avaliable in the US unfortunately. I love indie bookstores! Glad you had fun!
