I have another book haul for you all today, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have been sent so many recently I couldn’t include them in one post. June/July are going to be awesome reading months.
Snowglobe – I got an email from the publicist looking after this book asking if I would like one, I jumped at the chance. I loved A Girl Called Owl and I’ve been looking forward to reading it for ages!
The Memory of Fire – I adored The Waking Land and been desperate to find out what happens next. Thank you to the lovely people at Hodder for sending me a copy.
Floored – I was so ridiculously excited when this dropped through my letterbox. I didn’t think my request had been successful so this as possibly the best book surprise ever. Huge thanks to Macmillan for sending me copy.
War Storm – I finally got my copy at the London stop of the War Storm tour. I’m sad this is the last book, though I’m still really excited to start reading it. The tour edition has beautiful blue sprayed edges.
Thunderhead – Scythe is still one of my favourite reads of this year so far, luckily Walker decided not to make us wait a year for Thunderhead and published it recently. I picked a copy up while doing some late night book shopping after an event. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next.
The House on Chicken Legs – This was another that I bought on my late night book shopping trip, I’ve heard some brilliant things about this book. I’m intrigued by the concept of a house just getting up and walking off and magic, the cover is beautifully weird.
Exile – I absolutely adored The Extinction Trials and have been impatiently awaiting the sequel, I bought this as soon I could. This will be my next read and I’m beyond excited to start it.
City of Bones 10th Anniversary Edition – I won this in a giveaway, it’s a US edition and has gorgeous gold gilded edges. I love this series and so happy I get to add this beauty to my personal library. I think a re-read is in order.
A Darker Shade of Magic Collectors Edition – I also won this in the same giveaway I got City of Bones, I don’t think I’ve heard a single bad thing about Schwab’s books so I’m looking forward to finally see what they hype is about. Under the dust jacket is beautiful and there is some gorgeous character artwork on the back of the dust jacket too.
Have you bought or received any new books recently? I’d love to know what you got, let me know in the comments!
