First up, my book of the month for March was the brilliant State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury. I adored this book, it’s just stunning and I can’t wait for the second part! If you haven’t picked a copy up, what are you waiting for? You can check out my review here if you want to know more. If you’ve read it I’d love to know what you thought in the comments.

Events:

IMG_20180328_165917_389March 5th – The Chaos Walking fan event in Waterstones Piccadilly celebrating the tenth anniversary of the trilogy. I had so much fun, there was  an immersive noise experience, talk with Patrick and t-shirts. You can find my write-up of the event here. I had so much fun. The anniversary editions are gorgeous.

IMG_20180313_204841_384March 12th – was the monthly  Lush book club with Anna James in conversation with Claire Mackintosh, I love going to these, meeting up with other bookish people and it was really interesting listening to Claire talk about her books and career on the force. The Lush goodies were some of my favourites, I love the secret arts jelly bomb.

IMG_20180407_225759_309March 15th I went along to An Evening with Louise O’Niell with my friend Harriet, at Quercus – I love listening to Louise O’Neill talk books, female empowerment and feminism. I can’t wait to start reading Almost Love. It was a pleasure to meet her again. Everyone had awesome postcards on their seats, too. If you haven’t read her previous, I can’t recommend them enough.

IMG_20180407_231345_686March 19 – Neal Schusterman, Samantha Shannon and V.E. Schwab in Waterstones Crouch End. I adore The Bone Season series and loved Scythe so I grabbed a ticket as soon as I heard about this. It was an interesting talk about their books, worlds and book recommendations. I can’t wait to read V.E. Sean’s books, they sound awesome!

IMG_20180408_140323_828March 20th – I went along to the London stop on The Cruel Prince tour, I adore Holly’s books and It was nice to go to an event that focused on her books. If you bought an admission and book ticket you got a cool goodie bag with bookmark, The Wicked King sampler, print, chocolate lolly and tea light candle that smells lovely.

img_20180330_220839_921.jpgMarch 21st – I was invited to the Hot Key Books Fantasy Feast, I had the best day ever hanging out with awesome bookish friends, Sebastien De Castell, Holly Black, Alexandra Christo and the !lovely people from Hot Key Books. My full write-up of the event  can be found here. This was by far one of my favourite events I’ve been too! I  finjshed off the day with a screening of Love, Simon with my sister. It’s absolutely brilliant and you should definitely go see it asap!

IMG_20180327_115705_990March 22nd – I was invited to the launch party of The Little Mermaid at MinaLima in Soho, I had so much fun and their shop is stunning. I also hosted a date on the blog tour which can be found here. Everyone was given a goodie bag with a copy of the book, print, postcards and chocolate inside. More info on the book can be found in my blog tour post.

IMG_20180408_142204_829March 24 was Angie Thomas’ exclusive fan event at Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Square. I still haven’t read THUG yet (I know!), I’m looking forward to starting it soon! I’ve heard brilliant things about it and Angie is a fascinating person to listen to. This was my second event with her I’ve been to and it was even better than last time.

What I’ve read

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

Shadowblack Sebastien De Castell
