Monthly wrap up: January highlights

I hope you’ve all had a fun filled month! This year is already shaping up to be a good one. January has been a busy month for me with events, meet you and reading some awesome books. I thought to wrap January up I thought I’d write a post of my highlights of this month.

Walker blogger preview evening:

January 16th I went along to the Walker blogger preview evening at The Coin Laundry. This was my first publisher hosted blogger event, I had so much fun! You can read my write-up here.

Stripes blogger showcase:

I then went along to the Stripes blogger showcase, again at The Coin Laundry. I had a blast and met so many awesome bookish people. My write up of this event can be found here.

The 25th was the launch of Hero at the Fall by the brilliant Alwyn Hamilton, I adore this these books and I can’t wait to read Hero. My write-up will be up in the next week or so, (I hope) where I’ll also show you the hoodie bags! If you haven’t read Alwyn’s books, I highly recommend them.

Harry Potter studio tour:

For Christmas I got tickets to go back to the studio tour for the last day of Hogwarts in the Snow, I’ve wanted to go for years. I had so much fun and the Forbidden Forest was amazing, Buckbeak and Aragog were there! I also went for Butterbeer and left with my very own Niffler and Buckbeak, though I can’t have him till my birthday next month.

I Am Thunder:

On January 31st I went along to Gower Street Waterstones for Muhammad Khan’s I Am Thunder event. I had an awesome time despite anxiety kicking in, it was wonderful to meet Muhammad and get my copy signed. I have started reading this so My review will be up in the next couple of weeks.

My review of The Fandom by Anna Day finally went up, it took ages as I wanted the perfect photo and the weather chose to be awful. You can read it here.

I need to give a special mention to How To Hang A Witch by Adriana Mather, I’m currently writing up my review. Its SO good!

What I’m reading:

Goodbye, Perfect by Sara Barnard

I Am Thunder by Muhammad Khan
